Who Dat Say They Gonna Throw Me Somethin', Cupid!

Okay, so some of you may be wondering what the title of this post means? Well, Jay and I took the kids down to Thibodaux two weekends in a row and during those two weekends, we celebrated the Saints winning the Super Bowl, Mardi Gras AND Valentine's Day!

"Who Dat Say They Gonna Beat Them Saints?" - Slogan/Motto/Theme, etc... of the New Orleans Saints, or at least New Orleans Saints' FANS! :)

Okay, now on to the next explanation - The Carnival Ball. Well, there are different 'crews' for Mardi Gras and they're the groups that put on the different parades. Some of them even put on 'pageants' known as Carnival Balls. This year, my sister, Sarah, our cousin, Benjamin, and Truett were all in the ball. The first weekend we went to Thibodaux for the ball, but it also happened to be Super Bowl weekend. We were in Louisiana to celebrate the Saints' first Super Bowl win!!! The following weekend (Valentine's Day weekend), we went back because Truett, Sarah and Jay all rode in the parade. We all had a BLAST!

We all had such a great time! Truett kept telling everyone he was in the Super Bowl and when we asked him what his favorite part about the whole thing was he said, "When I got down like I did!" (whatever that means!) :)
