As I'm going through my pictures, I'm realizing that I only have two pictures of Truett on his last day of school! What's even worse, is that he actually had 2 "Last Days of School" and I still only managed to get two pictures! Okay...I'm over it. :)
Truett's teacher, Ms. Marisa, was leaving to go out of town with her family, so we celebrated with her on the 2nd to last day of school. I was in charge of the class gift, and did a spin off from a gift I had gotten when I taught 2nd grade. We gave the teachers a large coffee mug/soup cup/ice cream bowl that was decorated with each kids' fingerprint (painted to look like a different animal). The mug said, "Wild About Ms. Marisa" and "Wild About Ms. Mari".
The mugs were PRECIOUS and were a big hit!
Truett was the alligator....OF COURSE! :)
Truett and Ms. Marisa - She was actually Truett's teacher when he was just a year old. I was THRILLED when I found out she was going to be his teacher this year. He ADORES her and she loves him like he was her own. She is an AMAZING teacher and Truett has learned so much from being in her class.
Truett & Ms. Mari on the last day of school "50's Day" - Ms. Mari was the aide in Truett's class and I KNEW she was going to be so good for him. She's pretty straight forward and doesn't put up with much. After the first week of school, Truett said, "I don't like her. She fusses at me!" I knew it was a match made in Heaven! As you can see, from the look on his face, her 'tough love' approach worked with Truett and won him over!
Only one more year of preschool and then Truett heads off to Kindergarten....that's all I can say about that for now! :)
