Treats for Santa page
During the party, the kids decorated cupcakes so they wore these little chef aprons. They all looked so cute!
Here's Truett waiting to start decorating...SO EXCITED!
Of course, Truett was the first one to jump in and start decorating...or at least the first one to jump in and start eating the decorations!
When they were finished decorating their cupcakes, candle and all, we all sang Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus. It was so sweet to hear their sweet little voices singing.

After cupcakes, the kids all gathered around to listen to the story, What God Wants for Christmas. It was a sweet book that told about the Holy Family, the Angel Gabriel, the shepherds and Wisemen. The book came with a pop-up manger scene and little gift boxes that held each 'character'. The last box, which holds our gift to God, had a mirror in the bottom...WE are what God wants for Christmas. Very sweet!
Truett deep in thought...pondering the TRUE meaning of Christmas! :)
After story time, it was time to let the kids dance off some of that sugar from the cupcakes. Truett danced around, clapped his hands and rolled around on the floor...apparently he had eaten just a tad bit more of the decorations than the rest of the kids. :) (I don't have pictures of this because I was video-taping...hopefully I will figure out how to post videos soon and will add it later!)
After things were winding down, we had the kids pose for a class picture. Truett has really taking a liking to the little girl, Aubrie. She is so cute and apparently, she's really taking a liking to Truett. The teacher says they always sit next to each other and are always hugging each other. When we lined them up for the class photo, they stood next to each other and held hands during the pictures. :)
The party was short and sweet and the perfect way for Truett and his little friends to celebrate the birth of Jesus!
